For our client in Amsterdam, we are looking for a Senior Java Engineer (Kafka, API, Oracle RDBMS, SQL, Linux).

This role is not suitable for ZZP. If needed we can provide a payroll contract.

We are looking for an engineer who has been working within a Data Engineering assignment before.

Roles, responsibilities
Design, development and operation of a new datastore to support the exchange of data.
Support and improve the operation of existing datastores.
Migrate legacy systems and processes to the new datastore.
Administration of IT-Risk controls and participation in audits.

Profile
8 years or more of Java backend development.
8 years or more of data engineering, data quality, data integration patterns and techniques.
Java API development, ICHP/Kubernetes, Docker.
Kafka Connect, Kafka Schema Registry, Kafka Streams API.
Oracle RDBMS, SQL, PL/SQL.
Linux and scripting.
Knowledgeable of controlling IT-Risk and Security Standards.
Identifying, diagnosing, troubleshooting and resolving production issues by using a range of monitoring, test and alerting tools (Configuration, change, incident and problem Management).
Build & deployment process automation (Azure DevOps, Ansible).
Being able to automate and execute test cases.
Analytical (understanding complexity and think from the impact point of view not just solving problem directly).
Experience in Agile / Scrum or Kanban.
A good communicator in English (verbal, written & presentation).
