For our client in Utrecht, we are looking for a Senior Devops Engineer (AWS, Kubernetes, Python).

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer who brings not only deep technical expertise but also the energy and leadership to inspire and elevate the team. In this role, you will be a technical authority, a team motivator, and a spokesperson who can confidently represent the team in cross-functional discussions..

You & your position
Identity & Access Management (IAM) ensures that employees have proper and secure access to buildings, data and applications. In this way, our client prevents (un)conscious risks or fraud and complies with laws and regulations. The IAM infrastructure serves as the front door from which employees gain access to applications and data. IAM is necessary for our organisation to do our work. What if we couldn t log onto applications or if everyone had access to everything? Therefore, IAM verifies access requests and grants or denies permissions to protected company assets. IAM is also used for various administrative functions and managing employee accounts.

The Access Management team has recently initiated the implementation of PBAC (Policy Based Access Control) based on state-of-the-art tooling, as the Access Management solution for the future. This is a unique opportunity to combine your technical skills with working at the forefront of this challenging new tooling.

We are looking for a creative DevOps Engineer who can quickly pick up on new technologies and values (creating) standards and has a proactive attitude towards automation, testing and security. You have experience with working in Agile teams (Scrum, Scaled Agile Framework).

The team you will be part of consists of 5-7 DevOps engineers. You will be working in a team of techies who are all willing to help each other out. Together we take responsibility for the full lifecycle, from idea, implementation, and up to the operation. You are a DevOps Engineer with a strong affinity for the technical aspects within this job.

Top 3 responsibilities
1. Design and configuration of the Policy-Based Access Control (PBAC) platform
2. Technical lead for the team. That includes
- coaching other team members
- taking the lead in design initiatives together with architects
- Ensuring backlog items are of high quality, especially on the “how” and definition of done
- Participating in potential client meetings to identify technical integration requirements
3. Lead the build-run-operate mindset of a critical component in the authorization backbone of the bank
?
You & your talent
• At least 5 years or more experience in relevant aspects of this vacancy
• Strong and broad technology background
• Significant experience with Cloud (AWS), Containerization, Kubernetes etc.
• Preferably knowledge of Azure DevOps Pipelines, Networking, ITIL
• Experienced and flexible in programming, preferably Python
• Learning and knowledge-sharing attitude
• Affinity with cyber security is an advantage
• Experience with Agile and Scrum
• Easily find your way in a complex organization
• Language: English mandatory, Dutch preferred
