The role is a software engineering role within our biggest project to date, the F126 ships for the German Navy.

To take part in one of our development teams, which are multidisciplinary and self-organizing Agile/Scrum team. In addition to software development, our teams are fully responsible for various aspects, such as requirements analysis, architecture, design, testing, validation and product demonstrations. The use of high-tech techniques and software development methods is important. The software of the Fire Control System is based both on Java and C++ and is supported by a modern development environment. Especially the area of the Gun Fire Control domain is based on the C++ technology stack.

As a senior software engineer you are working with the other engineers on your agile team and the other agile teams in the same sub-domain. You work on designs and architecture with our software and system architects, and take into account security and safety aspects in your code and that of your team. Since we are working with classified information, we require all employees to undergo a screening by the AIVD or MIVD (level B).

You will work (among others) with the following tools and techniques:
• Agile/Scrum software development
• C++, CMake, real-time software development
• Continuous Integration & Delivery
• Jenkins, Nexus, Maven, GitLab
• Unit Testing (Google-Test), Test Automation, Cucumber
• MatLab, SimuLink (is a plus, not necessary)
