For our client in Amsterdam, we are looking for a Technical Writer

The Team:
You will join a newly formed team of 6 to 9 highly specialized technology platform architects. This team oversees the design, realization, operation, and management of technology infrastructure and platforms used globally within PSS. Their responsibilities include collaborating with engineering teams to make strategic design decisions and developing technical standards for infrastructure design patterns, application integration patterns, and standard tools. The team s primary objective is to ensure the foundational platforms are fit-for-purpose, reliable, resilient, scalable, secure, and cost-effective.

Roles & Responsibilities :
As a Technical Writer, you will:
Be responsible for establishing the information hierarchy of our documentation structure, design, and layout.
Take an active role in ensuring documentation is best in class, including improving legacy content.
Write and edit technical documents, including reference manuals and product manuals.
Write and edit procedural documentation such as user guides and manuals.
Write Documentation as Code , service catalogues and any other technical documentation required.
Determine the type of publication that will best serve the project requirements.
Meet with engineers, programmers, and project managers to learn about specific products or processes.
Research product samples to understand the product thoroughly.
Assess the intended audience's needs and adjust the tone and technical terms used to meet those needs and ensure understanding.
Plan writing processes and set timelines and deadlines.
Create or work with graphic designers to create diagrams, charts, and other visual aids to assist readers in understanding a product or process.
Work with our CX Transformation team to identify readers' pain points in the documentation and understand users' needs.
Stand up for the user and champion the importance of good documentation and user-facing content.
Increase satisfaction, user-friendliness, and accessibility of the clients (internal) services to create an optimal, authentic, and consistent user experience.
Assess community feedback and content performance.
Review, challenge, and edit non-writers content and drive best practices in technical writing with others.
