For our client in Amsterdam we are looking for a Business Analyst (Accounting, Data-driven, BI, SQL)

Not suitable for freelancers. We can offer a payroll construction if needed.
This is a long-term contract. First contract will be for 2 years and might be extended afterwards.

We’re looking for a Business Analyst to join the Information Management team within Finance. You’ll play a key role in shaping the future of by customer profitability reporting helping us optimize and automate our data processes for management reporting and providing insights about customer profitability to our stakeholders.

What You’ll Be Doing:
As a Business Analyst, you’ll work in a cross-functional Agile squad focused on delivering high-quality, future-proof solutions. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading the analysis and design of changes to management accounting systems and processes, supporting the development of management accounting datamarts and reports
- Translating business needs into clear, actionable requirements and solution designs.
- Collaborating with stakeholders across Finance, IT, and Data teams to ensure alignment and impact.
- Writing user stories, defining acceptance criteria, and executing and guiding User Acceptance testing (UAT) for new data models or reporting functionalities
- Supporting the full change lifecycle - from impact analysis to post-release support.
- Helping to ensure our reporting remains compliant, accurate, and aligned with business developments.
- Contribute to month-end closing through data analysis and reporting

Profile
We’re looking for someone who is analytical, proactive, and eager to make a difference. You should have:
- A mindset to grow yourself with the ability to challenge, learn, inspect and adapt;
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
- Minimum of 3 years relevant experience as a business analyst, preferable in a financial of banking environment
- Minimum 3 years experience working in a BusDevOps change environment.
- Knowledge of management accounting principles
- Experience with data-driven projects and working with BI tools (e.g. SAS-VA, PowerBI)
- Effective communicator; able to bridge business and IT
- Strong SQL skills (SAS EG is a plus, or willingness to learn).
- Experience working with large datasets and querying databases.
- A solid understanding of banking products and its accounting.
- A detail-oriented mindset with strong data analysis skills.
- Experience working in Agile/Lean environments is a plus.
- The ability to connect the dots between business needs and technical solutions.
