The Technology Sourcing Manager is a critical role within the Global IT Organization. As strategic partner to Regional CIO’s, VP’s and Directors, the role will focus on driving value optimization; intelligently and ambitiously reducing the technology cost base via the planning and execution of sourcing events and vendor negotiations; effectively contracting for critical products and services to drive growth, efficiency, and innovation; and leading process improvement and modernization of the technology sourcing function.

Background:
The Technology Sourcing Manager role will be responsible for the management of a significant portfolio of technology sourcing and contract negotiation opportunities, covering in the range of €30-50M annually across multiple technology, digital, and business-enabling related categories.

The Technology Sourcing Manager is responsible for achieving annual target cost reduction and avoidance savings; leading sourcing events e.g. RFx, benchmarking; performing supplier market research and developing category strategies; building and maintaining relationships particularly with senior / mid-senior leaders e.g. RCIOs, E/S/VPs, and Directors; and supporting the Director & VP developing a robust, professional, and forward-thinking technology sourcing organization.

The successful candidate will expertly navigate Technology Sourcing’s role as the central hub of the technology procurement and contracting process including maintaining strong relationships and smooth handoffs with control and support teams such as finance, vendor management, information security, legal team members, etc. In addition, the Technology Sourcing Manager will need to adeptly manage complex, varied, and at times challenging interactions with key internal stakeholders on the global, regional, and operating company levels.

Your assignment:
• Establishing and executing the process for the selection, ordering and procurement of preferred contractor vendors.
• Leading in and creating oversight for the IT spend/projects/vendors with a goal of lowering total cost of ownership for our company.
• Managing and balancing needs between quality, cost, service, and innovation.
• Working with stakeholders to establish a plan for sourcing initiatives, vendor negotiations, vendor relationship and processes for the handling of IT sourcing initiatives within the organization.
• Seeking out new opportunities to improve in each of these areas as an agent of change.
• Ensuring that stakeholders understand the sourcing/negotiation strategy and how it can be applied to optimize the development and implementation of its strategies and lowest costs.
• Identifying new potential partners - Stay current with the business and technology worlds to ensure awareness of potential business liaisons.
• Leading the negotiations in the establishment of sourcing partners. This includes creating a contractual relationship with the partner.
• Assisting with the strategy for the creation and management of vendor scorecards.

Requirements:
• A minimum of 7-10+ years’ experience with IT sourcing incl. project management, stakeholder influence, process analysis and improvement.
• An IT category/contracting background
• Strong background/knowledge in leading and driving the discussions/negotiations/relationships with major IT vendors like Microsoft, SAP, Salesforce, Oracle, TCS etc.
• Strong analytical skills and strategic planning abilities with attention to detail
• Strong stakeholder management and relationship building skills
• Excellent negotiating, influencing and persuasion skills
• As a person you have broad interests and intrinsic curiosity. You can work independently with sensitivity to work with different stakeholders
• You are customer focused and a self-starter. You understand a large and complex organizational structure and have strong intuition to work with many different functions and stakeholders.
• The ability to communicate fluent in English. Ability to communicate in Dutch is a plus.
