Opdracht omschrijving:

We are looking for someone to design, plan and implement changes and projects and maintain the Operational Technology (OT) infrastructure of RWE Generation hard coal & gas continental Europe.

Main working location: Online, Westfalen in Germany, Swindon in the United Kingdom or Geertruidenberg in the Netherlands

Our department is responsible for the Operational Technology (OT) environment of our hydro, gas, coal and biomass power plants in Germany, United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Belgium and Turkey. All of these units operate in a very dynamic market, making it necessary to continuously perform in the most optimal way and at the same time adapt to all the short and long term market and portfolio developments. The OT environment is the secure environment hosting the applications for our business units Generation and Trade and enabling secure remote access to the power plants, enabling them to realize this optimal performance.

The OT environment consist of two redundant tier-3 data centers, WAN connections to the unit DMZ’s, the unit DMZ’s and connections with other data centers of other RWE business units and TSO’s. Within our environment we are, among others, hosting applications for remote control, process data handling, secure 3rd party access and real-time dispatching of production units.

We are looking for the following skills and competences:

• Experience in an operational ICT environment where availability and security are crucial;
• Experience with and knowledge of relevant infrastructure techniques like VMWare, Ubuntu, Windows, VEEAM, Zabbix, ELK, Citrix Netscaler, 2FA, EUM, Gitlab, Ansible, SIEM, Kubernetes;
• Ability to operate on an operational level (e.g. user support, troubleshooting), tactical level (e.g. activity planning and communication, activity risk management ) and strategic level (e.g. high level infrastructure design, security policies, availability management);
• Oral proficiency and written language skills in English.
