Enterprise Architect, remote

On behalf of our customer we are looking for an Enterprise Architect.

As Enterprise Architect you are responsible for providing guidance and settings directions in the implementation and managing of applications. You can balance between international standardisation and country specific (legislation) requirements. Stakeholder management is a substantial part of your day to day work.

Translates strategic decisions and existing business processes into IT solutions. Focus of the activities lies at leading changes and providing governance regarding the information model, application landscape and technical infrastructure.

Has a role in the strategy development process. Translates strategic decisions into consequences for the reference architectures and the primary IT process. Focus of the activities lies at leading changes and governance regarding the whole architecture landscape.

Translates roadmaps and reference architectures into projects (PSA’s). Governs architecture decisions.

Responsible for the verification of proposed project solutions to the existing or potential IT architecture and providing technical guidance to complex projects and programs.

Ensures the transformation of the IT architecture into the appropriate technical solutions both on a functional level and regarding operational management.

Ensures that the proper security guidelines are being applied within projects (security by design).

Writes Architecture Design Documents and supports with creation of Detailed Design Documents.

Participates in the creation and evolution of the reference architecture.

Combines business knowledge and IT knowledge, acts as a sparring partner for all stakeholders.

Can have deep dive discussions with Solution Architects, developers and Infrastructure engineers.

Education and background:
Masters' degree in computer science or other relevant education;

At least 10 years of relevant experience in architecture roles such as Solution Architect and recently as Enterprise Architect;

Experience in large corporate organisations (of which Finance would be an advantage);

Experience with migration projects of legacy applications to new (cloud) environments;

Required knowledge
Knowledge of TOGAF and Archimate;

Knowledge of cloud technology (AWS/Azure); know how it works and connects to the services;

Knowledge of application management, API’s, data center/datawarehousing/databases, middleware, IAM;

Seeking the alignment of business and IT;

Experienced in stakeholder management on board level;

Fluent in English and Dutch.
