Project omschrijving:
For our client we are looking for an experienced back end C# developer with 3-4 years
experiene of the Financial market products and systems such as Derivatives Trading (Some
C++ developement also)
Over view:
Our client provides its clients with services in the areas of investment banking, private banking and asset management worldwide. It provides companies, institutional clients and high-net-worth private clients worldwide with advisory services, comprehensive solutions and innovative products.
Out client has an exciting opportunity for a developer with solid C# skills the Commodities IT
group. The Commodities IT team is involved in developing, maintaining and supporting
application and business users of the firm’s Commodities Trading and Marketing business.
The first milestone was achieved with the initial release of a new vendor trading system
supporting financial and physical trading of power, natural gas, oil, weather and emissions trading in North America and metals trading in Europe. The IT group has been tasked with supporting the configuration of the platform including system interface and report development along with other related spreadsheet and application development
activities.
Overall Responsibilities:
• Support existing and develop new Risk / PNL systems and spreadsheet for traders as
required
• Support/Develop trading/pricing tools
Work in a fast and dynamic environment
Functional Responsibilities:
• Team player building technical systems in a combination of programming languages
including C# and C++
• Writing Technical specifications and justifying development estimates.
• Able to develop applications, interfaces and reports from the technical
specifications.
• Prepare technical code and support documentation for the delivered application
components.
• Adhere to set coding standards, procedures and techniques.
• Work with other IT groups to configure, implement and support production.
• Involved in full software development lifecycle project (SDLC) activities
• Work effectively with team member in other locations situated globally.
SKILLS:
Required Skills:
• Must understand FIX
• Strong skills in C# (Primary skill 95%, Minimum 4.5 years plus experience), C++
(Secondary skill 5%, 4.5 years minimum)
• Good experience in design, development and deployment of applications in enterprise
server platforms (Weblogic experience a plus).
Desired Skills:
• Good understanding of commodity derivatives
• Experience performing source code control using CVS, Clear Case and related tools.
• Developing applications in UNIX platform and/or Windows server environments.
Personal Skills:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in dealing within IT and with
providing support to end users.
• Must be a self-starter and be able to operate independently within a team members
situated globally.
• Highly analytical, pro-active and detail oriented.
• Shows interest in professional development.
Tarief +/-65p/hr
Initial 3 month contract
